These covers are girdled with two load bolts that tighten down against the bearing caps in the rear diff. This prevents deflection of the bearing caps leading to ring/pinion failure. This same design has been used on our DSM diff covers for quite some time now. These are good peave of mind for an high horsepower Evo.
